We are the top PP Magnetic Pump Manufacturer and Exporter in Mumbai, India. Ap magnetic pumps are commonly used for pumping aggressive or dangerous liquids, uncommon materials, acids, alkalis, corrosives, contaminants, and toxics. PP Magnetic Pumps are also used for ultra-pure liquids and those that are difficult to seal. To keep hazardous/challenging compounds from escaping into the atmosphere, sealed pumps used in these types of services may leak over time or require elaborate, expensive double seals, resulting in safety hazards, downtime, and greater maintenance expenses.
Difficult liquids are another common use for pp magnetic pumps; for example, some liquids can crystallize on seal faces, causing seal failure. To avoid this, run a permanent flush system to the seal. However, this can result in increased maintenance expenses, seal cleansing liquids, and energy use. For these demanding applications, a pp magnetic pump is an excellent solution.
PP (Polypropylene) and PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) magnetic pumps are specialised “seal-less” pumps used primarily for moving corrosive, hazardous, or high-purity chemicals.
Because they use a magnetic coupling rather than a traditional mechanical shaft seal, they are 100% leakproof.[2] This makes them the industry standard for handling fluids that are too dangerous or expensive to risk a leak.
1. PP (Polypropylene) Magnetic Pumps
PP pumps are the “general-purpose” choice for corrosive environments. They are cost-effective but limited by temperature and chemical intensity.
Best For: Moderate acids and alkalis, salt solutions, and water treatment chemicals.
Temperature Limit: Generally up to 70°C – 80°C (158°F – 176°F).
Common Applications:
Water Treatment: Pumping bleach (sodium hypochlorite), ferric chloride, and acids used for pH adjustment.
Commercial Equipment: Used in large ice makers, marine air conditioning systems, and laboratory medical equipment.
Electroplating: Moving cleaning solutions and mild plating baths.
Agriculture: Handling liquid fertilisers and farm chemicals.
2. PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) Magnetic Pumps
PVDF pumps are the “heavy-duty” version. PVDF is a high-performance plastic (often known by the brand name Kynar) that offers much higher chemical and heat resistance.
Best For: Highly concentrated acids (Sulfuric, Nitric, Hydrofluoric), hot fluids, and high-purity chemicals.
Temperature Limit: Generally up to 90°C – 120°C (194°F – 248°F).
Common Applications:
Semiconductor Manufacturing: Handling ultra-pure etching chemicals and solvents where contamination must be zero. Chemical Processing: Transferring hot, concentrated acids from storage tanks to processing lines.
Pharmaceuticals: Moving sensitive or aggressive chemical precursors during drug synthesis.
Mining: Handling aggressive leaching chemicals used in mineral extraction.
