For Nitric Acid Transfer, the choice of a centrifugal pump depends mainly on the concentration and temperature of the acid. Chemical-resistant materials are essential to avoid corrosion and leakage.
PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride): Excellent resistance to nitric acid and temperatures up to approximately 90–100°C.
PTFE-lined pumps: Suitable for highly corrosive and concentrated nitric acid.
Polypropylene (PP): Generally recommended for dilute acid and temperatures up to 70–80°C.
SS316L: Suitable only for specific concentrations and temperatures; compatibility should be verified.
* Sealless magnetic drive construction to eliminate leakage.
* Dry-run protection.
* Corrosion-resistant impeller and casing.
* Suitable mechanical seals (if using conventional pumps).
* Chemical processing plants.
* Fertilizer manufacturing.
* Metal pickling and surface treatment.
* Pharmaceutical and specialty chemical industries.
1. Nitric acid concentration (%)
2. Operating temperature (°C)
3. Flow rate (m³/hr)
4. Head required (meters)
